Hobbes

Labrador Retriever / Cocker Spaniel / Mixed (medium coat) • Male • Adult • Medium

Meet Hobbes (f/k/a Owens at BARC).  Hobbes was picked up as a stray by BARC (Houston Pound).  He had an injury when he was picked up. He was a favorite and everyone worked very hard to get him safely out of there. We heard about him and could not pass him by.

When we took him to our vet to be checked out we discovered to our surprise that the injury that he had was a gunshot wound. He had surgery and the bullet was safely removed and he is doing great.

He is in a fabulous foster home with 2 canine siblings, a baby and his foster mom and dad.

Hobbes has great house manners and is a super laid-back kind of guy. He gets along with pretty much everyone he meets and would make a great addition to just about any family that offered him love.

He is really pretty much the perfect dog. He likes to play, but it's not rambunctious and also loves to just veg out. He rides fabulous in the car and just has an easy-going personality.

Hobbes is currently heartworm positive (not contagious) but please don't let that keep you from meeting him. Scout's Honor is treating him through the "slow-kill" method of treatment and we would be more than happy to discuss it with you.
