Cooper is one of the most loyal, obedient, and cool-headed companions you could ask for.

He gets along with people, dog, cats, kids, toddlers, infants, rabbits, chickens... Essentially he's smart and obedient enough that he will take your lead on how to interact with his environment. Honestly, if you were ok with chasing grey squirrels, but wanted him to alone the red ones, he could probably figure that out after a bit.

While he bonds really strongly, he's not the type of dog that's always going to try and be in your lap or underfoot. He just wants to be in the same room as you, resting comfortably. If you go outside to do yard work, he'll be waiting for you on the back porch for when you return.

Which is not to say that he's a couch potato, necessarily. He's perfect both on and off leash and loves to trot or hike alongside you during walks, adventures, or even just errands.

He's impeccably house trained, takes his treats gently, knows his commands, is generally quiet around the house, and did we mention he talks? Yup, he likes to greet you with happy little "rooroorooooos" when you come home.
