When we first got Leia, her skin was in the most horrendous shape. Her whole body had no hair and was covered in scabs and oozing open wounds. It took a good amount of time and a lot of TLC and medical care, but Leia eventually bounced back. Leia is doing great now and is a happy and healthy girl! Her skin has totally healed, her hair has fully grown back, and she is full of love and life! She is ready to find a family to call her own!! Leia was picked up by BARC (Houston Animal Control) with one of the worst cases of mange and skin sores we had ever seen. This poor little girl (she was a puppy at the time) had suffered so much in the condition she was in.
Leia is now about 4-5 years old. She is a very lovable young girl who loves everyone she meets. But like some dogs who come from a background of neglect, she can be selective on which canine friends she keeps, but has a lot of canine friends. She just has to be introduced properly to ensure that she can get along with any other dog you want her to be around. Leia would do best in a home where she is provided exercise, love, cuddles, rules, and a nice big comfy bed!!
