Dear Friends and Fellow Animal Lovers,

We are so excited about the launch of our new website! Since our formation in May 2006, Scout's Honor Rescue has been so focused on saving dogs and cats that we just could not find the time and funds to undertake such an endeavor. Well, after the patient prodding and financial backing of our very dear friend and wonderful benefactor, Don Puryear (owner of Happy Tails Dog Spa and the best realtor in town), we were able to create this fabulous site to showcase our dogs and cats!

We wish we could take credit for the awesome web design and artwork, but we cannot. Instead, we would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Kristin Moses and her crew at Deuce Creative, who donated their time and know how to create this beautiful site. Thank you Kristin!

We are extremely proud of this website, as it represents a culmination of years and years of our hard work to save the homeless animals in Houston and surrounding areas. Each precious animal on this site has a story to tell you and, we know, could become your best friend for life. This website is their voice and provides them an even better opportunity to find that loving forever home that they have been searching for!

Please look through our site and let us know what you think. We will keep it up to date with all of our adoptable animals and any news that you need to know about, so come back often. We also plan to update our site with resources for you, and the homepage will always tell you about a feature pet and important events that you just cannot miss!

Finally, we would like to thank each and every one of our supporters, volunteers, donors, and fosters for all that you do for Scout's Honor Rescue and all of the animals in our program (and an extra special acknowledgement to our buddies at Happy Tails and Winrock Animal Clinic!). We honestly could not exist and do what we do without you. You will always be our friends and have our gratitude.
